Is it can be player emo tiem now?

I don't know what it was, exactly, that brought this on, but it struck me today how few non-canon friends (or, hell, enemies, or just... people they've talked to more than once and have some kind of opinion about) my characters have, and when I really thought about it, it kind of snowballed into this mass of player emo and I wanted to get it out ( Read more... )

I know how you feel about that, Kuno is...pretty much there (other than like...Brock, he has no real non-canon relationships beyond people who can recognize him), and he's been here over a year now.

Most of your characters, other than perhaps Maria? I'm not sure, seem to be the type to kind of be in the background, and you probably just don't feel IC jumping into a lot of situations, which of course it the only way to build relationships, and it's a deadly spiral :(

I WILL say that Sanji totally dotes on Hisui as much as he does Kohaku, and treats them different! I as a player...don't manage to thread with you as much as Kohaku, but I'd like to add that even if Kohaku weren't here, he'd have acted the same?

It's really just hard to keep up a relationship if you don't thread often, and sleep schedules, work schedules...it's really hard to do it often if you can't focus on RPing all the time. (Not that it's bad either way, I just know I can't.)

Yeah, part of it is the characters -- Hanajima and Hisui may be the only truly minor characters I play, but none of them are the outgoing type, and that can make it difficult because I feel like I need a good reason to have them jump people or even reply to posts. But I probably need to just get over that, because like Excel said below, it's a concession you have to make for the format of the game.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that Sanji doesn't like Hisui for her own sake -- just that most of the people Hisui has talked to more than once, she wouldn't have met at all if not for Kohaku, so it feels kind of secondhand. If that makes any sense.

Ahh, that's true sometimes. I remember having Camp force Kuno out and join Quidditch (and then it never went anywhere sadface) so I can see that working.

And I wasn't sure so I thought I'd cover the bases.

That's okay! It's totally not your fault -- I see Yuu-chan around a good amount, so it's not like I haven't had the opportunity to have Momoko jump him. It's just me being stupid about this kind of thing.

Kino and Maria...are very, very special, but I do love threading with her! Jump me with Maria anytime, I fail at jumping people with Kino.

Also, I want to play with Momoko more! They were kind of awesome together, and I think they had a slumber party in the works, didn't they? Next time, I see her, I'm jumping her. :3 I don't have Mac out much but I'm always up for playing with cabinmates! ♥

I don't really know what to say for the lack of relationships, sometimes I feel like that abut all my characters sans Lady. Though it sounds like you're having more trouble with it than most, I think it's a problem many people have with their characters. I don't really know what the solution is, sadly. But, if you'd like me to jump your characters more, I can try to do that!

Honestly, I think you just need to get out more. I don't mean to be blunt, but that is the only real solution. I know this is harder for some people than others, and I know this is harder for some characters than others, but it's kind of like... the most important thing you can do in camp, you know?

If you don't feel comfortable jumping people, there are always things you can do to help that. People are always more than happy to volunteer. It's probably a silly gesture coming from me, but you are absolutely free to follow Excel around! Jump her EVERYWHERE if you want. I know it's the same kind of indirect meeting people, like with Kohaku and Hisui, but meeting people is meeting people, right? :

Yeah, I know. It's just easier to whine about it than to actually go "OKAY starting now I am going to play moar!" I guess. But I am going to try harder now that I've realized that it's a problem.

IN CONCLUSION. You should do an, "ITT, Hyatt is bleeding on you" post. Because it would be awesome. \o/
