Ganesh is the name of the auto rickshaw driver that my friend Jim uses here in Chennai. Jim has been coming to Chennai for about 10 years now, and he met Ganesh on his first trip here. Oh, Cline, I have tears in my eyes after reading your Ganesh story. It throws into high relief the possiblity of grace in overall poverty as compared to the cranky, nasty, self-centered and even dangerous (think crosswalks) behavior of many in the US who are pissed off that they are no longer able to expect their entitlement to continue forever.
