I just had the weirdest conversation, with this girl from Georgia. She goes to school with my first grade crush (haha). Anyway, the three of us were arguing over the way women were treated in the south, and it made me cringe.

His brother Brian was a year older than us, and he had a little brother too. He moved to GA in 2nd grade, i think.

Anyway I don't know what my point was, but that's my experience. It's not about what is "expected" and I certainly have never been treated like this before...but it's what works for us. He respects me and I have no doubts about that.

Sean was sad, he can't get dates because he doesn't have the money to pay for these things and the girls expect that from him...and that's not fair, in my book.

Like Kat said, I will hold the door for whoever is behind me, be they male or female. It's kind of rude in a general way not to, don't you think?! Common courtesy is never a bad thing if you ask me.
