[Mitsuhide is still sat in the living room, SFC on his lap and a cup of tea in his hands. When he hears her come in he calls out in response.]

You have made me curious, my girl.

[ Excitedly, Gracia puts on an apron and ties up her hair. She brings out a pan and her trusty cookbook, which was coincidentally given by the person who she was going to cook for. ]

I'll do my best to make it delicious!

[ She begins working on the grilled peaches and cream as soon as the words left her mouth. If Mitsuhide were to strain his ears carefully, he would hear the sizzle and crackle of the peaches being grilled on the pan. About ten to fifteen minutes later (and after a few burnt attempts, to which Gracia hid her failed fruit concoctions underneath the sink or in the garbage), she goes over to his spot on the couch and places in front of him a delicious looking dish -- the product of her first experiment. The dollop of cream was hearty and she put in a tad bit more honey for his sweet tooth. She looked hopeful, hands clasped together, awaiting his judgment. ]

It certainly looks like I will enjoy it.

[His eyes have lit up; peaches are like a drug to him, and trying out new dishes containing the fruit is always a treat. Mitsuhide leans over and tries a bit. His eyes flutter closed in bliss.]

[ Gracia sighed in relief. ]

And here I was expecting that it'd be a failure like the other five--

[ She caught herself embarrassedly, hands flying up to cover her mouth. Whoops. ] I mean...I'm glad you like it, father! [ She chuckles light-heartedly. ]

[ She sat next to her father and was content to just watch him eat the dish. Curiously, she peered as he took another bite. ] What does it taste like? Is it too sweet? The cream is cold, but the peaches are hot. What do you feel? The hot or the cold?

[Mitsuhide raises an eyebrow, as he did earlier, and laughs warmly. He takes another bite before replying to Gracia.]

Peaches could never be too sweet for me.

[Another chuckle.]

Gracia... you should ask one question at a time. It can get confusing when you ask too many at once!

It's not so much a difference in taste as a difference in texture. An uncooked peach is much softer.

[Mitsuhide laughs at that. He points to the dish.]

[ She glances at the dish, then back at her father, with wide eyes. ] Oh, I can? Are you sure?

[ Gracia's smile was wide and grateful, eyes sparkling with mirth. She leaned over and tasted a grilled peach, and as soon as it touched her tongue, she felt the different taste and textures that her father spoke of. She placed her hand on her cheek as she ate blissfully. ]
