People come and go from Vatheon in no particular pattern; at least, not one that is obvious. Whoever controls this flow certainly does not care for the feelings of those whose lives they tamper with.
There is good reason for me to wish to remain here, but that is not my choice to make, is it?

You do not face it alone.
[He settles himself down on the floor, places the bag down next to him and from the bag pulls out a tub of ice-cream and a spoon. He then holds out both, for Mitsuhide to take.]

[It is said quietly. That can't be true forever, but.]
[Putting the book to one side, the samurai glances at what is being offered to him and takes it curiously. 'Ice cream?' He has not tried it before; it's cold in his hands.]
Why did you bring this, Lord Motochika?

[He pulls out another spoon.]
I suppose that we'll soon see for ourselves.

Comfort food, hmm?
[Mitsuhide removes the lid from the tub and examines the contents. After a moment he dips the spoon in and tries some.]

[It's good. Really good. His expression makes this clear enough.]

[He leans over, to dig in his own spoon.]

[His eyes flutter closed in appreciation.]
I have not tasted anything like it before!

[He scoops out some, and brings it to his lips, pausing there.]
There are a wide number of flavours. This is only one of many.
[He tastes it for himself. The depth of flavour comes as a surprise, one clearly written on his face.]

Though I am more than willing to appreciate this, for now. This place has many hidden delights, doesn't it?
