[Mitsuhide is dressed in what definitely counts as unusual clothing for him; an extremely beautiful and what some might call stereotypically 'gothic' suit, coloured in purples and blacks. There is an
intricate mask in his free hand.]We are cursed again. Am I to assume this is related to the 'Halloween' festival Miss Rena told me about? It would

[Guess who calls out as he jogs over from nearby dressed like this? He puts his SFC away in his leather satchel, and holds out a toffee apple with his other hand. His eyes are sharp, the only indication of his disconcertment. He looks Mitsuhide over with interest.]
I would not have recognised you, at first glance. [Well, that was not entirely accurate, different as this look was.] Almost.
Reply
I would not say you are an actual bat, Lord Motochika. I see no wings. So... no. You don't count.
[A short laugh as he accepts the toffee apple. His gaze sweeps over Motochika's outfit briefly.]
It certainly is very different, isn't it? The clothes are very beautiful, however.
[He takes an experimental lick of the toffee apple and, yup, it appeals to his sweet tooth. So good.]

It is a pity the same cannot be said of the locals. You mentioned a festival?
Reply
Yes. 'Halloween.' Miss Rena told me a little about it.
[He thinks for a moment.]
She mentioned that people dress in unusual costumes, give sweet things to children, carve pumpkins and decorate places so that they appear to be haunted.

[Motochika looks back to his friend.]
This 'Halloween' would seem to fit.

[Mitsuhide takes another few licks of the toffee apple.]
Though apparently, it is not just children who can get sweet things. This is really good, my Lord!
Reply
[He already ate his own; he smiles as he watches Mitsuhide.]
These are not the only festival sweets. Come, if you have finished admiring Vatheon's strange new creatures.

There are more?
[A nod.]
Let's go, then. Where did you get this one, my Lord?
Reply
[He leads on! And soon enough, there is a stall with many themed sweets, manned by a pair of skeletons. There is something grim about their cheerfulness, with appearances as they are.]

[...that was a pretty minor 'how'' compared to much of what happened in Vatheon, really. He focused on the treats before him.]
Oh... I shouldn't take too many or I'd probably eat them all.
[A short laugh, and he finishes off the toffee apple.]
I must restrain myself.
Reply
That may be wise.
[As the toffee apple disappears, he points out]
Some do not look difficult to recreate.
Reply
You're right... I wonder if I could learn to cook some?
[There are some lovely little cakes with cute decorations that keep catching his eye, and... bat shaped biscuits?]
Yes, that would be good...
Reply
[Motochika follows Mitsuhide's gaze. He picks up one of the bat-shaped biscuits.]
I suppose these bats do not count?
[They're tasty, though.]
