[Someone is very happy today. Perhaps a little too happy; his cheeks are a little flushed and his expression rather dreamy. The SFC has been placed on a desk, and Mitsuhide is dancing around slowly.]
Good day to you, Vatheon.
[He stops for a moment to look down at his device.]I do not know why, but today... I feel so incredibly good! It has been

Freely, unrestrained and spontaneously. Flushed, even.
...
Who are you and what have you done with manly but sad Mitsuhide?
Motochika's just going to stop in his tracks and watch from the doorway, rather disbelieving. Unfortunately what his friend is informing the SFC network of is no better -- though slightly less disconcerting by nature, since one is merely a rumour, the other an actual, indisputable display.]
Amaterasu, in Vatheon?
[Well, it's a start, while he works on reconciling what he's currently witnessing.]

[Mitsuhide's smile becomes especially wide. He does not stop dancing, however, replying to his friend's statement as he twirls around.]
Maybe. It's possible. Who knows? I was told a Sun Goddess walks amongst us, and thought of Her name. It's a strange thought, isn't it? But it may be wrong yet.
[He raises his arms, closing his eyes for a brief moment as he steps around the room... somehow without bumping into anything.]

[Motochika continues to watch. This has to be Vatheon's doing somehow. But just in case, he's going to surreptitiously glance around for any potentially suspicious items. It's not really a bad thing that Mitsuhide is so... happy, and unburdened, but the uncharacteristic lack of restraint...]
You simply... awoke in this mood?
Reply
[The samurai laughs, long and warm, and when he finishes he comes to a halt in front of Motochika. His expression is utterly content, utterly peaceful. Like nothing has ever or could ever upset him.]
[Yeah, it's an odd look for him.]
Then I got the urge to just... dance. I have no music, but it doesn't matter. Does it?
[He tilts his head.]
Vatheon just seems so beautiful right now!

[And maybe the source does not matter, if his friend can feel so lighthearted for a short while; it's hard not to smile in the face of Mitsuhide's joy. There is no obvious harm in it, he reasons, and Mitsuhide has done nothing that he will later regret... Motochika can always keep an eye on Mitsuhide, to make sure that that remains the case and to prevent any major embarrassments once the mood wears off. It's not likely that Mitsuhide will know such a feeling again -- not joy untempered.]
Yet should you wish for some, then you need only to say.

[He spins on the spot, smiles... and then comes closer to his friend.]
I am glad to have you with me again. Do I tell you that much? I don't think I do.
[Mitsuhide leans forward in order to hug his friend briefly, humming a little as he does so, before pulling away and beginning to dance again. His pace is a little faster this time and he is a little more energetic as he twirls around the room.]

[Motochika is definitely surprised, but he smiles, a moment later. It's not the kind of gesture that his friend would usually make. Not that he needs it, to know that Mitsuhide cares.]
You don't need to. I can tell.
[He shakes his head lightly, wondering how many of his friends Mitsuhide would be hugging this week, then goes to pick up his shamisen. Since his friend is feeling so joyful and enthusiastic, he plays an appropriate song.]

Still, I should say it on occasion.
[A nod, and he just avoids colliding with the table..]

[He raises his eyebrows slightly at the near miss.]
Do you feel steady on your feet, Mitsuhide?
[And now he's starting to get suspicious -- the unmindful, affectionate behaviour, the flush, and apparently a lack of spacial judgement... he puts his shamisen aside to move closer to Mitsuhide. It cannot be...]

[A statement not backed up by him bumping into the sofa moments later; it's a slight miracle that he doesn't end up falling backwards over it. This event does not bother him, and despite the lack of music now, he carries on with his energetic dance.]
I feel perfectly fine!

You're drunk.
[Of that, Motochika is sure.]
Reply
Of course I'm not.
[A shake of the head.]
I've not touched alcohol in two... or is it three years? Two, three, two, three... can't quite remember, but in that time I've not had a single drop! Not even when you brought some along to our clearing, when we first claimed it!
[He pokes Motochika's chest, grinning, and in a very matter-of-fact tone says:]
Alcohol makes me too honest, too energetic, makes me too... too foolish! So I do not touch it anymore.
Reply
Yet your resolve has gone unheeded, my friend. You are drunk.
Reply
I'm not! I have not touched alcohol, like I said! So how could I possibly be drunk, my Lord?
[Mitsuhide's hand drops. He may be pouting every so slightly now.]
What an accusation to make!

Have you forgotten where we reside? Little is impossible. The unexpected can often be explained by Vatheon itself. But very well.
[He takes a good few steps back. Then he beckons Mitsuhide.]
Come over here.

[The young samurai does as requested, walking over. He does not do this in a straight line. At all. When he comes to a stop he says:]
Well?
