Good stuff... I just finished Jesus Goes to Harvard, and I'm working my way through the Bible (just finished Ruth).
Jesus Goes to Harvard I would recommend to anyone, for a million reasons.
The Bible is ridiculously gory and up to this point the character of God is interesting. He kinda plays the role of a tough-love ethnic father. The whole concept of the "promised land" kinda parallels the genocide of the Native Americans... when we look back through official sources, it was that "frontier spirit" and everything was nice and dandy... but in reality, both the Europeans and the Israelites basically killed everything (including animals, plants, etc. in the israelites case) in their paths.
Samson is the man though, and some of the stories provide some good intellectual fodder.
