In language, why is it proper to use the term 'good-bye.' Is leaving someone ever good? You're either leaving someone you wanna be with, which would make the 'good' portion of the phrase unappropriate; or you are leaving an enemy, and well personally.. i haven't left many enemies and wanted to end the conversation politely. But why is it we use
