Lumos was so much fun- I'm glad that what is likely to be my last burst of spontaneity ever was good fun ( Read more... )

it really was fun- I'm not sure when I'll ever pull something like that off again... but I highly recommend it for anyone who can.

have you ever done the "con" thing?

Sounds MAHvelous! I'm sure you can again at least when Little Bean is a little older.

Only once about 14 years ago when I was much less into fandom than I am now, but I had friends who were and it sounded like fun - a little con in Madison. I have vague memories of being dressed up as Death (Sandman version) and winning a fake-orgasm contest. :)

yay that you got to go and conduct research there!
awesomeness :d

thanks-- me, too!

Having the research to do gave my entire experience a lot more structure than one might want at one of these things... but it worked for me. I wish I could have seen more panels... evidently I missed the "bestiality panel" as well as several Snape/Rickman fangirl ones.... all the Snape ones were completely filled, in fact.

I think the next Lumos is in Toronto... and the Phoenix Rising one is in New Orleans... any plans to go?

they should just have a snape convention

that i would def go to!

I am broke and have no time so new orleans is definitely out but if there is a bus or someone that has a car that can take me to canada from here then i'm down :P

are you going to any of them?

Male Preg makes me giggle. I always think of that awful Arnold movie, Junior, ahah.

I sorted myself into Hufflepuff, too! Because I'm incredibly loyal. But I always drift toward Slytherin clothes when I buy outfits. I have a naughty side that cannot be denied, I guess!

It was so great to meet you! ♥

Clearly! Perhaps every girl needs a Slytherin scarf in her repertoire, though....

It was great to meet you (and your beautiful family!), too.

Ah, well, thank you for that beautiful family remark! My daughter and son are just my favorite people in the whole wide world. My daughter's a smart mouth, and she just reminds me of me so much that it's really hard to find fault with her. And my son is very cuddly and busy and really... I'm excited for you to have this very soon because it opens your life up in ways you never could have imagined. I mean, you think you can anticipate how it will be, but you get there, and it's just... so much better and so much more work and just so much more, you know what I mean?

Well, I sound crazy. Again. :) ♥

yay hufflepuff. i always thought i was ravenclaw until i went to twh and heard a talk on the four houses (i'd already been sorted randomly into puff. they divided us evenly into the four houses so we could have a house cup competition). i learned to embrace my inner badger.

have friended you sweets, because it was a pleasure to talk with you, and you had the balls to stand up to f in the crack!panel.

The Puffs are clearly where it's at - whatever it is, of course.

It was really quite fantastic to talk with you, too! I am looking forward to re-hearing all the things we talked about in the near future.

I'm glad that you got back safely -- I hope you sleep off your jetlag and embrace life again soon.... I ended up sleeping yesterday away, myself. 'Twas a good choice, I think.
