I don't think it's healthy for me to join another Yahoo group at the moment, particularly as I'm being very lurker-like with regard to Witchy stuff and focusing on my Uni study at the moment. So I'll add a comment here that I had thought of previously, but hadn't had a chance to say.

You've mentioned to me before about people claiming the LBRP shuts people down, and your contrasting experience of feeling more open. In my limited experience (I did this quite frequently several years ago), the LBRP was one of the few rituals that, if done rightly, I could feel. I did the Middle Pillar exercise after this sometimes, and it remains one of the more powerful things I've ever experienced.

My suggestion is perhaps the LBRP makes people more focused. That is, it deliniates a space around them, and slots them into a certain way of thinking, which means that any random energies floating around the place aren't connecting. Especially with people like myself, whose experiences often derive from our own study, I think it's tempting to chart any
