I think that fandom is, in general, reacting quite well to HBP. 'Course, there are the insane fangirls and the wanky folks, but so far, it all looks good. The theory business is booming, art and fics are in the works and everyone seems to be gearing up for a long spell of fandom partying

Remus Lupin knew all about evil.
He had walked the darkest corridors of the wizarding world and he knew about the madness and fear - ambition or greed - that drove people to kill and torture. He had seen more than he ever thought he could see and remain sane.
Evil did not brew a life-saving potion for someone who had once tried to take his head off. Evil did not grudgingly pull the blankets up around a werewolf's trembling frame and warm him on a winter's morning.
Evil's kisses didn't taste like well-aged wine and biting words, bitter and yet somehow addictive.
Severus Snape was not evil. One way or another, Remus was prepared to find out the truth - even at the cost of life or sanity.
