I think this is WONDERFUl!
EXCELLENT use of voice, very engaging writing style,
fascinating and authentic detail, ie:
"...He didn't have to scope the whole damn bar for the one fella might meet his eye. Didn't have to offer a drink, pay for it with money he didn't have. Didn't have to come up with just the right line..." <--loved the specificity here!!
Excellent job of grounding us IMMEDIATELY into Jack's internal narration,
great and believeable job in imagining Jack's interplay with Lureen,
great characterization of Lureen, too, BTW.
Subtle, heartbreaking insights into Jack's yearning for Ennis...
palpably real.....excellent writing! Please write another.
