First off let me just say HOCKEY IS THE BEST SPORT IN THE WORLD. (The fandom is pretty fun too.)  It's fast & physical & exciting. Watching it on TV is great. Watching it in person is SO MUCH BETTER. The best way to learn about hockey is to watch it. Don't worry about not understanding all the rules. Most announcers are usually really great about

Also, I found this vid rather good. It takes too long to ramp up initially -- I would have trimmed the first 1:30 down by two thirds -- but by the end I was CRYING!

Unfortunately, a lot of my links were on Megaupload or similar services that are currently freaking out and taking everything down. Even the Road to the Winter Classic youtube streams are down. :(

I'm pretty sure that the Documentary on the rebuild of the Edmonton Oilers is still available... Let me just get those youtube links. Also, there is the second episode of NHL 36 up on youtube. *goes to grab*

As far as movies, maybe let's just make a list of the MUST SEE ones? i.e. Miracle, Slap Shot. (Is my American bias showing?)
