Who turned out the lights?

It's late. Dark outside... I'm still at work.

In six hours I need to start heading south to our Eugene office for maintenance and upgrades. Perhaps I should get home first and have a quick nap.

I've been kinda busy since we downsized our IT department. More later when I'm not so tired.

And this discussion of moving north? Has that stalled?

Salary or not, having to be at work till damn near midnight better damn well be a rarity -- it's neither healthy nor productive on a regular basis - for you, your family or the job. I was at work the better part of 12 hours yesterday myself -- but that's an extreme rarity in my current work.

We'll set out a candle substitute for you to help you find your way :>.

No, I can't say that it's common for me to be at work until midnight. Of course, last night I didn't stay until midnight, I stayed until almost 2:00 AM, suffering from OMT syndrome - "one more thing..."

My job keeps me busy; I can state that with confidence. So busy, in fact, that I haven't pursued any of the opportunities I've found up in the Seattle area. I'm hoping that this recent tide either has or will soon find its high mark and will begin lowering itself. Today, for example, I just got back from wiring up our Eugene office and it's almost 9:00 PM. After I unload the car, I think I'm headed for an early bedtime.

Oh, I did want to mention that I'll be up in Seattle either this weekend or next weekend. My brother is moving soon and has requested help in boxing/cleaning/etc. around his current abode. Once he lets me know which weekend works for him, I'll post it here in LJ.

Thanks for the candle. I can always use more light by which to see...
