Funny that you should reply to this... I've already got something for you.
Remember long, long ago when you were crabbing (you may dispute this word, it's OK) about Jim not wanting to give you jewelry too early in the relationship? Yeah, anyway, I thought it was a little silly of him and it got me thinking. I can give jewelry to people and not need it to signify anything in particular. I decided to go looking for baubles. I found a few nice pieces for some friends I know (yes, including you) and proceeded to go on a mini buying spree. I've delivered some things, but have only delivered a bauble to one person up there in the Seattle area. There are two other folks (you and malstria) for whom I have goodies. I've just been too busy to get up there much in recent months. When will you next be down in this area?
I should plan a trip and insist we stop off to visit you. Or at least ME! Hah. That's so sweet!
He, by the way - did end up giving me jewelry. Finally. For my last birthday - which was August 29th. It's a pretty necklace.
But yes. It took over a year for that to come to be. more like a year and a half ;)
Ah well. I will have to bug Jim and see if we can make a dual-purpose trip to Portland. One to see you, and one to see his family. (Opportunity, kill 2 birds with one fateful stone.)
So let me discuss what our upcoming schedule is.
Regardless I've been meaning to go visit you eventually because I always see you up HERE and now days... I do venture down there now and again.

Are you coming to Portland anytime soon? If not, then is it OK if I get *the prize* to you say in November? I don't know if I'll be heading up to Seattle anytime sooner.
did I make the cutoff? do suggestions get factored in? one of these days I will be down in that area to visit. All I want is sushi, tea and interesting conversation!

And you could have had all three at my housewarming party... But, given sufficient prep-time, I'm always happy to make sushi! In fact, I'm going to be giving a sushi-making demonstration at Orycon (Saturday at 2-5 PM). Hmmm, I should add Japanese green tea to my list of supplies.
Let me know when you can make it down here. I look forward to seeing you again.

When are you most available? Which day works best for you - because I am thinking pretty much any weekend day might work.
