Greetings from the quiet one!
First, let me get this bit of news out there:
Anyone out there want a tree or two? Or three or four or more? Itsy-bitsy-teenie-weenie-oh-so-cutie trees? Specifically:

I can deliver tonight, or after I get back from Seattle. Say, Tuesday?
Let me know. And thanks for adopting some trees!

Sorry about the blue feelings. I'm there too. Haven't had the time or funds to do anything that I wanted to for yule/christmas this year.

It seems that my Seattle visit will be shortened and rather full of family-centric stuff, so I don't know if I'll get to see you or your brood until January. At the very least, I want to see if I can make it up to a house concert on January 20th. My treat (suggested donation, food, etc.) if you and Jenni want to join me that evening. s00j and Gaia Consort will be playing.
If I don't see you this trip, let's at least talk about what you wanted to do for Yule/Christmas...

Understandable on the trip schedule. We're pretty much stuck in Puyallup with a quick trip to Longview on Tues/Wed for christmas with my folks and sister.
What I wanted to do? get a tree to decorate (or at least a yule log), decorate our home, put up lights, get holidays card made with a picture of Sonja to send to everyone. Get my wife a "sparklie", as she calls them and basically spoil her and Sonja.
Since I see all that stuff at my in-laws but didn't take part in any of it myself, I really feel detached from the season. Happened to a lesser degree last year as well.
Since I've moved up here four years ago I've only had one christmas tree. growing up, Mom and I were the primary force when it came to getting the house ready for the season. Getting the lights on the house, decorating the tree while listening to christmas songs, etc.

I'm headed up to Seattle tomorrow and I could conceivably detour into Vancouver for a delivery. I'm not quite sure what time that would be, but in the late morning sounds about right...

I'd love one, but I don't know when I'll see you. Hrm.
