Heath Ledger died today. This is the first time I have heard of a celebrity dying and it hit me in the chest like a ton of bricks.

I feel exactly the same. I was standing when my coworker told me, and it knocked the wind right out of me. Beyond shocked, I'm just so sad and angry about it, and about the horror that the media's going to bring to it. I'm at a loss right now.

I know how you feel... I think this is the first time a celebrity who I've really admired for a long time has died. He was one of my first actor crushes (10 Things I Hate About You, fantastic), and though I grew out of that phase, he always kind of held a special place in my heart. :(

I mean, he was at the peak of his career, too. It never surprises me when it happens to former child actors, or ones who have been known to be troubled. But he really seemed to have most things going for him. :(

I just just read Allison's entry about it and I was like, whoa, wait a minute, did I READ THAT RIGHT???? And then I went to PerezHilton and read about it and I am fucking speechless. I cannot believe this. I mean, I truly cannot believe it. I feel sick.
