So with all of my unemployment time on my hands I have found some time to do some new paintings/drawings ;) In between nannying and applying for college in Canada that is ;) So I figured since I never post on here I could at least share what I have been up to artistically. If you can call it that.

It makes me so happy to see you around here again! God, look at these... You're doing some amazing stuff. The piece with the dog is especially good, and your little long-legged birdies are killing me. ^_^ I love them. The primary-colored birds -- is that one done on fabric?

There's an artist, Mimilove Forever, who mixes watercolor pieces with embroidery for a really gorgeous effect. The delicious colors in your animal paintings make me think that, if you ever felt like exploring with thread, it would beautifully compliment them. But then, I really like the open space in your dog painting -- the emptiness is a visual pause, and sets the volume of the piece.

Woah! These are grand! I like the dog the best, but they are all so cool. I would definitely put one up in my house. Jen, I miss you like the dickens. I'm so happy you're painting -- it makes me feel good when I do it, and I hope it's doing the same for you. I want to come up and see you one day.

Oh Kit it would be wonderful to see you again one day :) I am moving to Canada for a few years...given that I get into grad school there. But I will be back for sure! Maybe I can convince Matt that we need to take a trip to Hawaii :D

Oooh, Canada! Very cool. I've loved Canada the couple of times I've been there, and I often thought that if I hadn't turned into such a freezeweenie I'd want to go there to stay. Still, Hawaii would be a great place for you to go once you've had a healthy dose of those northern winters. You know the sister and I would always be happy to see you, and Matt as well!

I know we will need a warm break for sure...ugh. Its so cold there. But they have a good business school and my love is there, so I am going to go stick it out for a few years :) I would love to see both of you as well!! Its been far too long!

omg how have you been? I haven't heard from you in... a year. Literally. :) I want a Jen Chadd painting for my new house. :) I framed that picture of Angel and put it up. People come in all the time and they're like, who is the dude with the wings???? And I'm like, my boyfriend. hahaha. :)

Anyway, keep us more updated!!! Don't be a stranger! :) And remember that anytime you want to come to Kentucky, the invite is still open. And I even have a spare bedroom and bathroom now, so it's cool. :)

long time no communicado.. sorry about that! love your stuff girl, as always.. especially the long legged birds.. and heck, canada is the bomb, you're gonna LOVE it fo sho!
am in india right now, visiting sai baba in the south.. my boy and i have been travelling since january and are loving it! we've been to thailand, philippines, cambodia, australia and south africa so far, after having to cancel our central and south american legs for the moment due to swine flu. but india is amazing as usual and.. we're here for another few months, so heading up to kashmir and ladakh, then down to rajasthan when it gets cooler in the desert.
