We just rescued a sweet boy (who we named Barnaby -- gorgeous Siamese) who was FIV+ and had probably been abandoned -- we can't keep him because we already have two FIV- cats, but we found a good foster home for him and hopefully someone will adopt him in spite of his special needs (he can live a normal-length life as long as he has medical care and isn't exposed to other cats.)
Poor babies :(
