This is fantastic. I love this portrayal. I've always felt that these two have a special connection. Chase is the son that House never had, and House is the father that Chase always needed. I was so happy to hear Chase say in the episode that he knew House cared.

I'm sure you're right. Although in some ways it seems crazy to consider House any kind of father figure and certainly not a role model :) neverthless he has 'had Chase's back' on a number of occasions. I think there is real affection deep down, whereas I've never had that feeling with Foreman and House; rather a grudging respect.

Wow. Just wow. That was totally fantastic. The portrayal of House as a role-model figure, while a somewhat disturbing concept, is very well written.

This is my first foray into House fanfiction and I'm glad I found this one. I've been looking for something Chase-centered after this week's ep.
