Great last line. I must admit I'm no big fan of Blythe but I did feel for her a bit during the episode, when House faked his death. This is a good picture of her, she seems to have a poor view of her son, or maybe a truthful one, I'm not sure. But at least she sees her own failings as well - she, God knows, had not been a good mother. it's a nice echo of what House said at John's funeral - that if John had been a better father he might have been a better son, I think the same holds true for Blythe.
I do like Blythe thinking that John has gone to hell :)
She does have a lot to answer for, doesn't she? When I think of her I can't help but think of Cuddy's accusation, when she was dumping House, that he would always put himself first because "That's just who you are." I'm wondering if this is Blythe-she is incapable of doing what mothers are supposed to do, put their children first. She has protected herself all along the line with lies and pretence. Essentially selfish and self-centred,in fact, which is House's apparent flaw, until he overcomes it and puts Wilson first, at the very end.
Thank you for commenting and I'm glad you liked John's fate :)
When I saw her white face and heard her utter those words, I expected the sky to fall in! I couldn't leave it there. I'm glad you thought it worth posting; thanks.
