Nathan certainly didn't expect to be seeing the two FBI agents making a visit to his office. He made some general comments, and them as well so as to not let on what was really going on

Peter's leaned against the window, where he wasn't a moment ago.

"How long have you been working for the FBI?" he demands; it's underlaid with Peter's typical resentment at being kept out of secrets, but -- muted.

Speaking of secrets...

But Nathan just replied, "Since Heidi's accident. I'm gonna take down Linderman for a long time, Peter."

Peter shakes his head.

"I thought I could be a hero," he mumbles, crossing over toward Nathan, and in the process turning the blood-splattered side of his face toward his brother. "Save the world. Instead I just killed..."

His voice quavers, and he breaks off to press the back of his hand to his mouth.

Nathan immediately zeroed in on the blood with concern, and he brought his hands up to grasp Peter's shoulders to steady him.

"What's that? That's not your blood is it?"
