Outside: two marked police cruisers, one unmarked police cruiser, one fire department cruiser, and one fire department ambulance. Two doors down, an empty ambulance stretcher on the front walk. I don't know what you could have done; if you had asked the officers or neighbor if there was anything you could do to help, there probably would not have been anything.

It is good for neighbors to be aware of, and care, what is going on.

If it was a body bag, maybe someone who lived there committed suicide, since there were no sounds or indications of some kind of intrusion or emergency.

My sympathies to all involved.

Maybe there was some kind of interpersonal drama going on there in recent days; was this the same house that had the woman strangely insisting on blocking your driveway?
