Food grows on trees?

In my life trees are oaks, dogwoods, pines, etc., and bushes are hedges and shrubbery. The entire concept of walking up to a tree or bush and pulling something off and eating it is otherworldly and magical. Food growing in the ground or on a little food plant makes sense to me, but not these others. So Linvilla Orchard feels more like a fruit
