This is very amusing. Er, in a thoughtful way, such as the thoughts Sam is evidently having. Possibly they're discovering Lobelia, who has undoubtedly produced some vocabulary suitable to the occasion of being rescued by her scapegrace cousin and his scapegrace friends.
