Thanks for posting. Since I got home I've been busy sorting out my multiple LJ accounts. I hadn't even thought about the communities. I'll need to deal with them as I have a few others.

It would be incredibly sad if any of our wonderful fic and information is lost due to 'inactivity'. I'm glad you agree!

In the long run I don't know how durable LJ is which is why I exported everything to DW but I'd certainly prefer to have the communities remain intact here. This is where it all happened. :D

Thanks for the heads up! I suppose I had better get busy with importing my stuff over at DW, just in case.

I've been importing my LJ to Dreamwidth at least twice a month, and I'll probably start doing it once a week now.

I hadn't imported in AGES! But I'm going to be more vigilant about it now.

Do you think politics are behind this latest move by LJ to get more strict with accounts?

Sadly, I'm much less politically savvy than a lot of my LJ friends. Whatever might be going on behind the scenes is beyond me!
