I picked up The Sirens of Titan over a year ago from Sam and read the first 11 chapters in a couple of days. When I hit the last chapter and the epilogue, I put the book down, and tried to finish about seven times in the last 6 months. I would read a page, then put it down for another month

i really like that idea of you having to be ready for the book. not like it's a tangible epiphany that you can have. but that you must be ready. in that right frameset to understand it
