In Which Alloces Gets His Next Assignment

“I’m starting to get tired of being summoned like a dog.”

Alloces was reclining against the wall in the kitchen when Phoenix came down, tightening the robe around her body. Phoenix looked him over carefully, before shaking her head slightly. He knew that the Fallen had more respect for him than most, but he wasn’t sure that this visit would bode any better for him than the rest.

“You know that the last thing I think of you as is anything canine, Alloces,” she said softly, before pulling out a bottle of bourbon and starting to pour them both a glass. “However, I do request your help with a small-project.”

“Project?” Alloces said, raising an eyebrow with a slight smirk as he sipped the drink in front of him. “Does it involve arts and crafts? I’m just so fantastic at locating super glue.”

She chuckled at the sarcastic tone, before looking over at him. “I want to send Castiel a present. But in order to do so, I need you to collect some things for me.”

“And what would those things be?”

“Dean Winchester, a sword to relieve him of that pesky head of his, and a box, for me to send it to Castiel in.”

Alloces paused for a minute, before turning and giving the woman a grin. “I like this plan.”

“I’m glad you approve,” Phoenix said with a nod. “Does that mean you’ll fetch me what I need?”

“Do I get to do the decapitating?”

She turned and gave him a look. “I adore you, Alloces, but I intend on savoring this myself.”

His head tilted to the side slightly, looking over at her. Phoenix rarely ever wanted someone to be killed by her own hand-that was what Aim was for. If she wanted to kill this man herself, Alloces was more than willing to bequeath that to her. “I’ll collect him as soon as I can.” He then paused for a moment. “Though I’m not sure Baal would approve.”

“Personally I think this is right up Baal’s alley,” she replied. “Everyone is focused on Sam-no one will expect someone to take a hit to Dean. Besides-there’s no plan here. Technically I just want to see what happens.”

Alloces paused again, taking the final sip of his bourbon, placing the glass down on the counter. “I’ll bring him here as soon as I’ve collected him. Hopefully it won’t be too long.”

“Good,” Phoenix nodded as he turned to leave, before reaching out and taking his arm. “Oh, and Alloces?”

“Yes?” he said, raising an eyebrow.

“Just because I said you couldn’t kill him, doesn’t mean you have to be gentle.”

Alloces smiled slowly, before turning and starting to walk again. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
