Hmm! So I'm thinking I want to learn a second instrument besides piano. I've been researching, and this is what I was thinking... I bolded the ones that I'm really considering learning.

Oh crazy! I didn't know that (easy to play, hard to play well), but I'm intrigued. I just want to learn something cOMPLETELY different from piano 'cuz I think it would be fun and worthwhile. I'll look into that though! Do you happen to have any composer/piece recs that I could look into? I'm probably gonna go buy some cds later :]

Anyway, CELLOOOOO!! It IS an accompanying instrument, but only if you want to play in an orchestra. There are so many soul-moving solo pieces for cello. It is more expensive though, about 2x that of all violin costs.

Hehehe my lung power is definitely next to nada so I'll probably pass on all of these wind instruments. They do sound wonderful though! I actually brought up the trumpet thing because I remembered you played one in the Harker orchestra, and I always liked it. Thanks for the info!
