LiveJournal - Now even less useful

Apr 28, 2012 13:27

Since when does LiveJournal only allow you to page back through the last 100 posts on your friends page? I assume going back any further back than that is a paid-account-only feature now?

All the more reason to finally get a WordPress site up and running, I suppose...

At this point, I'm here for the fanfic and a few RSS feeds. Real life friends pop in now and again, but do most of their posts on FB or their own blogs.

FTR - I was able to get to 275 posts back. Currently have a free account. I let the paid one lapse on the last renewal.

I don't know if I was ever able to do unlimited posts back, but I don't think I've ever tried. Just the past few weeks, then maybe clicking on a specific friend's page if I wanted to go further back for anything.

That's odd, I'm not running into that limitation and I don't have a paid-for account.

I don't seem to have that problem either ...

Weird. It only lets me scroll back as far as 15 April.

I think they only allow the past two weeks, rather than any numerical limit. My friends page is often empty except for a post or two. Makes LJ completely worthless to me, most of the time.

You can look at individuals' archives and see their journal in calendar form instead of list form.
