Hey guys!
Some people have asked a (very legitimate) quesiton about voting, particularly when voting for the actual mixes. People are wondering how to vote if you're not familiar with the fandom, due to the fact we have a rule that states you cannot vote based on fandom alone. We hope that you understand why we implemented this rule - it's simply in the interests of fairness, especially to people who participate in small fandoms. We apologize for not realizing that there may be issues with this sooner.
While we work out a foolproof solution for later themes, here are some things you might want to consider when voting.:
- Can you see a theme in the song choices?
- Alternatively, can you see a progression in the song choices? Can you see the way a relationship moves, can you see a character's growth?
- Is a story being told?
- Do the songs work well together?
- Is the premise interesting?
Consider things such as the chronology, the mood, the concept. Bear in mind the fact that many ships aren't canon...It is tough to vote if you're not familiar with the fandom but it's not impossible and we really don't want to punish people for enjoying smaller fandoms.
If you have any more tips for voting on mixes/suggestions for how to make this easier next round, please share them in comments!
Thank you for bearing with us as we work out the kinks :) We really appreciate it.
