(no subject)
Here is my report of this year’s Japan-Expo! And it’s only one week late, ahah, I’m awesome. Picture heavy because osakapowaa helped me hunting down cosplays all four days even if I personally went only on Thursday.
There were two huge horses like this at the entrance of the con. I don’t really understood why, the paper on the crate said that it was part of a project to gather funds to help Japan, but how is this weird stuff helping anything?? So, uh, I took the picture because I thought of Equius and it made me lol, but then Hussie posted this in his Formspring, which made it even more hilarious. Come to France next year Hussiiiiie, we’ve got muscular horse men!
Another pic that would sum up well my JE experience this year: I have no idea what’s going on but it looks fun, if a tad ridiculous. Well to be honest I mainly roamed the amateur artists’ alleys, so I don’t really know what the events were this year. There were people I wanted to see and I was looking for loot!
Also Osaka is completely fond of Nyan Cat so we had fun taking pictures of anything Nyan Cat related that we ran into. Case in point:
But we are not insane, I swear!

Also there were MANY One Piece cosplayers this year (but otherwise I think Bleach is slowly dethroning Naruto as most popular cosplay?). I’m keeping this one because of this wonderful Bon Clay <3

Proof that other people know Homestuck? :O I don’t know what the fellow accompanying Bro on the right is though, so I might have it all wrong.

I can recognize a lot of you from Hetalia Day, I’m sorry I missed the meet-up guys, you all look great! This picture was taken by Osaka on Saturday and I wasn’t there :(
It was a fun convention but I’m particularly happy to have managed to see both aresky and babel121! I also bought a bunch of fanart cards, bookmarks and straps. I took many so I can give some to other people:
There was also a Sokka bookmark but I gave it to Osaka :3
Then here are the fanbooks I bought:
The MSMM one is from a Spanish artist, Kenneos. It’s a beautiful fanbook in full colors with some Homura/Madoka, Kyoko/Sayaka, and Charlotte/Mami! The MSMM card and the gijinka!Kyubei in the picture above were freebies hidden in the book.
The Reborn fanbook is a compilation of fanarts from artists gathered by Aresky.
Oh my hello there Tsuna, looking smoking hot I see <3
I was supposed to get it last year but in the end I couldn’t attend JE, and then we failed to meet during all this year. It feels so good to finally have it in my own hands! And and and Aresky was a sweetheart and drew me my current favourite KHR pairing on the first page, thank you so much, your drawing is so cute ♥
And then kaya_kunami from Babel’s circle Suki was kind enough to draw me a Homestuck fanart, and it was John/Karkat and asdfgvpiyasdf thank youuuu I didn’t think I would find Homestuck fans there, let alone artists as nice as you ;o;
lol look at my fannish tastes. Apparently I am in the special niche of fail!leader!shipping XD;
Also I probably look silly being so overjoyed like this, but being able to exchange a few words with some of the great artists I saw there and even *gasp* ask for art, is a huge improvement for me who is always so pathetically shy ^^; So I guess I’ll be there again next year?
