I thoroughly don't recommend to sit in your semi recently purchased car with your wife and daughter at traffic lights and be rammed up the rear by a truck literally like

If you have full comp you should be able to claim through yours and they'll deal with the company's insurance.

Yeah, first time I called the insurance said "Are you lodging this claim or is the other guy?" without being kind enough to say 'no matter, we'll just start doing your end now and work that out later' etc. So hence the time spent calling the dude and then being directed to the business he works for with the 'many managers' stuff being thrown at me.

So I called my insurance first thing and just lodged a claim my end and gave the dude + his business details to them. Have been referred to a repairer close to me and stuff. Hoping it doesn't take an eternity!

Ta, Emma and I haven't had good sleep since, well I've had 2-3 hrs unaided sleep and the xanax forced sleep the night before. Cassie has been crying at night since it, not a "hugely affected scared out of wits" thing, just probably sitting and feeling BOOM with her parents turning around soon as they could to see if she was ok might just give her the unconcious not great feelings and sleep is a bit interuppted like ours ( ... )

It's corporate. They'll pay, but they have to wade through their internal incident investigation process as well, so nothing will move quickly.

Really, really glad to hear all of you are ok. That's the main thing! Getting the car fixed/replaced will happen but it's going to take time.

Much love,
T. xoxo
