I would want the proposal to be just between the 2 of us. The question, itself, would be enough pressure on the 2 of us, especially if the answer is 'no'. Family and friends wouldn't help the situation. The last thing I'd want is for my proposal to be put on Youtube as a form of entertainment for the bored! Yes, those ideas were clever, but they were also less personal and, in my opinion, less genuine feeling.

Ideally, I would like to be proposed to in front of my friends at my college graduation this May. However, his sister's college graduation is the same weekend so we haven't really worked out whether he can even come to mine (she was visibly upset when his dad accidentally assumed he would be coming to mine, and even I told him I want him to go to his sister's - we're not married yet, and blood is thicker than water; it's just sucky timing). Other than that, my other dream proposal is at Disneyland, which is totally possible because he lives in LA and his dad works for ABC so we got to use lots of free tickets last summer.

I would second the Disneyland idea... or perhaps do it on Disney Cruise Line.

My hubby proposed at sunrise at old city hall in toronto (on) it was beautiful.

If i had to pick one, aside from that, there's a commercial where the guy takes his girl to all the important places of their relationship (where they met, first kiss, etc) and then to another place and she says "i don't remember this place" and he says something like "this is where i asked you to marry me"

The idea of that is really sweet.
