Hmm, so if I watch a movie with a murderer in it that means I support his crime? Your critics are lacking logic. There's a difference between watching (or even writing) things that are anti-feminist and actually adhering to these beliefs. It's called fiction for a reason.

I'm going to see that movie, too. I have the rest of them on dvd's, and I also have the books. Why? Because I was entertained by them, pure and simple! I also read books with dragons and wizards. If I like them enough, I read/watch them more than once. Just because the fake monsters of Twilight don't match the original fake monsters doesn't make one of them better than the other if they both entertain someone. For all the money Stephenie Meyer is making off this story of hers, we aren't the only ones enjoying it. So in spite of the fact that I'm not one of the many teenage girls who loves this series, I can talk to my granddaughters about it. For those who are 'above' watching something so ridiculously fake, Go enjoy the news! I like a break from real life once in a while.

Well, I don't enjoy the Twilight series simply because the weakness of Bella's character irritates me, as does the writing style of Stephanie Meyer.

However, I don't go around bashing people who like it, because some people find it entertaining (unless they claim it's a great piece of literature, which I will take people up on)

I must say though, I enjoy The Vampire Diaries (the only American show I watch) and I don't much like to admit it because people think it's a rip-off of Twilight.

I was actually under the impression The Vampire Diaries came first, and that Stephanie Meyer stole from it. I only saw the first two episodes, but a lot of it is strikingly similar!

Yeah, but the first two episodes seem really similar but then as the rest of the seasons go on it becomes completely different. The premise of the two shows/movies diverges because in TVD the vampires aren't really just fighting for one girl, it involves the whole rest of the town.

Also, the female protagonist is just a lot stronger and more interesting.

Haha yeah, I watched Repo this summer. My friend and I agreed that it was trashy and exaggerated, but hey, it's entertaining and just fun to watch.

The Twilight movies are also my guilty pleasure. despite the fact they're badly written, give vampires a bad name, and a ripped off version of romeo and Juliet in some ways I still watch.

And yes, I am aware vampires are mythical creatures. I just like vamp movies, books and folklore/mythology.

well you know what I mean - the whole carebears with fangs attitude. I watched the Hammer films damn it where Vampires were evil not misunderstood creatures. Although I am a fan of Interview LOL
