Hrmm . . .

I'm thinking that if the Giants don't get into the Superbowl, that I should head up to Punxsutawney, PA and wake up on the 2nd with the Main Hog. I wonder if it's too late to get a hotel room.

C'mon, /real/ PP(TM) fans dig a foxhole and sleep in a mummy bag so they can get the authentic G-Hawg(TM) experience, with the limited-edition annual patch and the pewter figurine (which can also be used as a D&D miniature for the Dire Fiendish Groundhog).

And no, my meds aren't working so well today ;)

True story: In Neverwinter Nights, I referred to my "dire badger" as a "dire groundhog".

So, book the room now and cancel if/as/when necessary. I'm sure there's ONE room...

Is that a problem in some way?

My Myers-Briggs profile is an INTP. The P means that I want to make decisions at the last moment. Usually when there are two choices of roughly equal value I sit on it until the last minute.

Oddly, I'd be more jealous of the Punxsutawney trip.

If you aren't a football fan, then I can't see any reason why you wouldn't want to go to Punxsutawney.

One of my old bosses is from Punxsutawney. I can ask him for advice on accommodations nearby if you can't get a room in the town itself.

Actually, any advice on attending the festivities would be appreciated.
