32. Roses. Shindong/Shindong

It was actually a joke when you volunteered to be on the show. it was suppose to be pumpkin boy or the eternal magnae but you stepped up and gladly put your lovely foot down. Nevertheless, they took you a bit too seriously. Too serious that they forgot that you have a low tolerance of pain. A very low one.
A scream was heard.
Your hyung wasn't really a screamer. Yes, he do cry a lot but that's him and his emotional side. It is perfectly NORMAL. However, What you're about to go through was far from it.
Another scream was heard.
You wanted to disappear. There's no way you're getting in there. There's no way they'll lay their filthy hands on you and rip away your dignity. There's no way...
"You're up next Shindong ah. After this, we need to get to the studio to work on your postures and such. You walk like robocop."
You stared at manager hyung as he lists down the things you should do like picking the gowns, wigs and the talent the two of you will show.
You want to protest. You really do. But then the manager told you those words.
"Don't worry dong-ah. You're on your way on being a rose!"
Saa...why didn't anyone told you that the path towards being the most beautiful flower was filled with thorns?

It had always been like this. You'll change schools. The others will think you're a freak. Girls would tease you. Boys will hurt you. And bullies...well, will bully you.
So it didn't surprise you when you entered the classroom, head low, too hesitant to speak and be made fun of.
"Children, this is Han Geng but you can call him Hankyung. His family just moved here so he doesn't have any friends. I hope all of you will be nice to him." The teacher introduced you. You tried to peek under your bangs and you saw them looking at you like how a person would look on a caged animal in the zoo. Actually, the acts doesn't really bothers you. It's the stares you get that makes you paranoid. How funny it is since you're just what, 10? 11? 12 years old?
You memorized their faces as the teacher talks more about you. How you're from another country but needed to move for your father's job. How you've been to twenty different or so countries and that maybe Korea was the last stop. You know the teacher just wants you to fit in but you don't want to hear any of it. As you tried to close your mind off the endless rattles the adult was doing, you saw him in the corner of your eye.
He was a typical bully and you, a typical victim. It's all part of the greater plan aka the school hierarchy. He was meant to bully you, extort you for food and money and if the day could get any worse, treat you like his punching bag. He was meant to do all those things like you were meant to be hurt. Everyone has their places, your father once said. And you've accepted awhile ago your place. Your role.
It didn't stop you from wondering though how long will this last. How long can you hold on. Will there be someone out there who has the role to stop this?
Then you heard 'her' as 'she' consoles a crying child. Would someone be like that to you?
You then noticed that the bully stopped aswell.
They then started walking towards the both of you, with 'her' leading the crying one.
You didn't expect them to stop before you and speak to you in 'her' almighty voice.
"Bullying someone smaller than you again Youngwoon? You should've known better. And you, " 'she' then turned to you, 'her' eyes wide. "Grow a spine. Learn Martial arts for all I care. Just fight back you know." at that, 'she' left.
Both of you were still silent for a moment before you spoke. "Do you believe there's a god?"
"What?"
"I just met one."

A/N: I refer chul as 'her' since this is all in Hankyung's POV (somehow) and he thought chul was a girl from before~XD (this is my kidverse, I can do what I want?^__^)
