question: what exactly is considered large text? in terms of proportion of the icon.

Large text usually should cover the majority of the icon, either behind or over the character. However, as long as the text covers at least 1/3 of the icon, like the one I'm using here, it will be fine.^^

Hi, I wanted to ask what is considered a "Plus One" type of icon? I've never really done a 20in20 before so kinda new the theme based iconning :P

Plus One should have 2 people in it. :)

I can't download the table... can i just make it using the round 12 template or are there changes (apart from the theme/category names) ?

Yeah, you can use the round 12 table and just change the themes/category title. :)
