Next to my house (more accurately, next to my row of townhouses)...probably about 100 feet away is a field. Not a huge field or anything...just a field....grass, a few trees.

This morning I leave my house to go to work and I see a big sign (that was not there yesterday) and it says:

Future site of Community Fire/EMS Station.

Obviously I'm not happy

Oh that's just real nice to put something like that there. :/

There's been signs like that in most places in O.C. and the sad thing that the homes that are involved belong to those who live in trailer/ moble home parks and few apartments.

My brother & sister got evicted last month and next to their apartment a sign stating future home of a retail center.

Ugh.

geesh...that's terrible.

I just talked to my mother and she was less than sympathetic, talking about we need a station closer to us. The closest one is 2.5 miles away. I think that's close enough.
