first of, welcome and I can tell you why Danzig quit. He was just going in a different direction and he wasn't happy with the band, you know, Artistic differences.
I have no idea why Graves quit.

graves quit cause he was like "dude, a million people hate me, but another million people love me, fuck, what should i do?" then he was like "yo jerry, you're being a butthole, quit hatin'" and then he was like "ah, fuck this shit" and he left.

Danzig was heading toward the black metal stuff, lyrics about Satan, etc. which Jerry especially wasn't into (hence Kryst the Conquerer). But I think the reason he left is more due to the fact that they'd been playing for a long time, and back in 83 when they split, horror punk was still not respected or accepted very much, so I think they got tired of playing to audiences that didn't really care. It's hard to be broke, living in a van, making only enough money at one gig to afford gas to get to the next, and to feel like you're compromising your art for the sake of the rest of the band. It really was Glenn's band in a lot of ways, and I think he just got tired of limiting himself to writing punk songs

I've been to both of those, and they really didn't help much - spare for Graves.

okay heres my 2 cents ...not like any of you give a shit...mangorilla is some what right on the Graves thing...i mean seriously he had to have alot of pressure because all these insane fans would trash talk him and all this dogshit but in reality it wasnt his fault. Danzig left the band because he wanted to go his own way...and Graves stood up and tried to help out Jerry because Jerry thought he had talent...and so Graves took on the role...but he never wanted to take Danzig's place ... i dont even think he was close to that ... but all these fucking fans thought that he wanted to take Danzig's place...bullshit i say.The misfits are on dead-ends meet because Jerry is an assfucker now ( hence: he trash talked Graves, Danzig, and his own brother Doyle )and Dez is in the band...and grr some other dude ...i dont even give a fuck about there names...because they suck and there trying to live up to that place they were way back when Danzig was in the band...its stil Danzig's band in my heart...Graves is a great helper but went his own way

I agree with you about the Graves thing.
I don't think he's a bad guy at all.

Sure, he doesn't compare to Danzig,
but he never tried to, anyway.

He's got good vocals and some good ideas.
And yeah, the surviving memembers should just give up on it now.
