I quoted parts of William Blake's "The Divine Image" and Florence + The Machines' "Shake It Out." I'm sorry I don't have page numbers for SWTC, I can't find my copy of the book.
Way back in August, dreamofthem posted a prompt with a quote from It's Not About The Bike by Lance Armstrong. The same day I found out that a very dear family friend had just been diagnosed with cancer. Ella and I have long believed in the power of coincidences and that her prompt assuaged the frustration my family was feeling without either of us communicating was, I think, another one of those beautiful coincidences that keep us-me-believing. It was a great comfort to me at the time. I found out that that same family friend died yesterday and all I could think of was that quote that Ella posted -- belief, for its own shining sake. Our friend fought long and hard and died shining, if the account from her family is anything to go by. The prompt continues to comfort me
