So, I'm all graduated now. It's nice not having to worry about getting a diploma...I got one and nobody can take it away. I wasn't as sad as I thought I would be. I cried the morning of graduation, but not again after..I was fine. Millet Hall use to seem sooo big when I went there for other people's graduations, but it felt really small on Monday. Yay Graduation!

I've taken ENG 111, EDL 204, and COM 135 ;) Not tough stuff, though I wouldn't call them easy either. Good luck!

Thanks. Are there any classes or professors that you recommend?
What exactly is EDL 205? I got a little bit of a description from my advisor, but it wasn't very detailed.

EDL 204 is Sociocultural Studies in Education. Basically you study the inequalities inherent in the American Public School System. You look at Race, Class, Gender, and Sexual Orientation issues within schools, and ways to create the classroom as a Safe Space for all kinds of students, one that does not favor students with privilege. It's not a difficult class, but it does require a lot of research on your part. I think my final bibliography for the class had about 120 individual sources on it. It's not too bad, though. I had Rebecca Howard for this class, and she was OK.

If you can, take Classics 121 with Dr Tuck (he's awesome). Also the History of Western Art classes are great ways to fulfill your Miami Plan. Mary Jean Corbett is excellent, and so is Dr. Scheangold. You'll take classes with them at some point if you're English Ed. Oh, and beware Dr. Frager, he is the worst professor ever. Sadly I have him again next year.
