Part of me died today.  My calling ended.  My calling/work, Children's Service Society, discontinued its adoption placements program today.  We are celebrating our 125th year this year and we had to discontinuing a legacy.  I am sad that I no longer work with such a wonderful agency and for such a wonderful cause, but I am sadder about our waiting

I was sad to hear that it closed when I talked to you last night, but glad to hear that you'd been hired on full time at the law firm!

It's a very sad thing but you helped facilitate so much good with that place that you should be proud. Try to look at it as a good thing that even though it ended you wouldn't trade for a million years. (I know that's how you see it anyway, just focus on the positives.)
