enthusiastic republican speeches are kind of funny if you think about it. most political speeches that get people excited are about change. since the republican party and status quo politics are so fundamentally co-dependent, i feel that most of the time when they have moving speeches they're usually about what would happen if something changed or ( Read more... )

welp, i'm predicting Obama/McCain. But i might be wayyyy off... i haven't been paying enough attention to the race. I did watch most of the dem debate last night. On the one hand, Clinton's more universal health plan will probably win favor in this the move-as-far-left-as-possible-to-win-the-party-nomination phase. But on the other hand, to me personally, her, umm, phony politician-ness is more obvious than Obama's, and that vote for the war is a rather sizable speed bump to overcome.

yeah i was thinking about mccain obama too. i've been thinking of the possibility of a hillary-obama ticket or obama-hillary ticket. i don't think i could see her joining on as a vp if he wins, but i could see him joining her if she wins. what do you think?
