I have a request out of everyone today, and it concerns me getting into school. If you want to know the whole story, it's a bit long bc it's detailed so I put it under the cut. :)
I'll definitely keep you in my thoughts! School is such a frustrating thing, especially when grades are all a school cares about, even though that may not be where you're improving most. I know last year I got in a shit ton of trouble for grades even though I had gotten to a point where I was actually going to class, whereas a few months before I couldn't even do that.
Think positive! As long as you stay determined to get what you want (and it already sounds like you're taking the right steps to getting it), it'll come to you. Good luck!♥
Wow. I totally now you mean. I just wish the schools evaluated our improvement better- I have shared the "can't even get up to go to class" thing & it is not fun. Nice to hear about your improvement! it's not easy. im proud of you :D
Have you called UNO and explained this to them. Ask them if you can attach a certified letter from your school saying your current semester grades are pending and they'll be on their way as soon as they're ready.
I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you though. Good luck.
good idea! i know that's what I'm supposed to do, but I just have so many things to do it feels so overwhelming & I'm not thinking rationally. but i've written down a list of things i'm going to do next week to get the ball rolling.
and yes, i'm sure UNO has encountered a situation like mine before. i'm not that original, lol :)
I know how you are feeling. I'll be entering college next fall and I'm holding back on submitting my application because I don't feel that my test scores will be "high" enough for scholarships. I have a 24 on my ACT but I want a 27. So I'm super stressed out with the whole college thing, especially since I don't know if I'll be staying at home, in a dorm, with someone else, et cetera. In a way, I don't want to go to college.
Dude. are we twins? I'm having the same thoughts you are!
I, personally, did a lot of my decision making back in July. But as for school, test scores, dorm, I def waited until the last minute. Retake your ACT to get more comfortable with it. Submit FAFSA now. Try to get things taken care of as early as possible, that way you can get it out of the way. Bc once you get it out of the way, you can start doing the fun stuff, lol :)
Hey Sweets, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you get accepted. I am with farewelllondonin the fact that you should call UNO and ask them what you should do and tell them about the grades situation. Where the FAFSA (i'm sorry that sounds like a cheer to me) is concerned that isn't all that hard. Especially since you won't be living with your family and you will be moving out of state to go to college it shouldn't be that hard. Where the tests are concerned, one of my best friends had gotten her GED and had never taken the ACT or SATs before and was accepted into college, they just worked her classes around the time it would be for her to take them. So that I wouldn't believe to be a very big problem. Most colleges understand.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, I will even try to summon the gods, though they only make special guest appearances most of the time. I will keep all fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you. I want this to work out for you. You deserve it. You need it.
yayness! go me! ((starts doing retarded 90's dances like "the sprinker")) oh, now you tell me about the eyes cross thing! I was wondering why I started feeling dizzy and fell down.
I'm glad I made you feel better. That's what I was going for. Whoot!
