Y--LUK-O and Philosopher's Point

Y-LUK-O

Y-LUK-O is a project inspired by Industrial and EBM. It was formed during November of 2000 in London by Yluko and Leonardo von Leibnitz after successful cooperation on a song which was originally slated to be a one-shot. Y-LUK-O is progressive and innovative electronic music distinguished by the driving beats of intensively edited synth-drums, and emotional vocals sung by both Yluko and Leo in their while recognizably separate, similarly charismatic styles. The contrast forged between classical instrumentation and elements of an electronic nature in their songs generates a dense atmosphere of emotional purity, which is often suddenly shattered by cutting breaks, surprising changes of pace, and abrupt endings. This combination crashes through the monotony of modern dance floor hits like a sledgehammer vs a corporate jukebox. Y-Luk-O is a new style of modern electronic music geared for the 21st century.

Philosopher's Point

Crunchy electronics combined with metal guitars and electro effects from new commers Philosophers Point. On the US BLC label, their debut album ''Nachtangst'' delivers Germanic industrial overlaid with a variety of different genres including traces of futurepop, electro and gothic rock elements with clear and distinct vocals ( sometimes in German ). Another band to watch from the growing BLC Productions label.
