Well, he *did*... but it was more of an assisted suicide... and on Dumbledore's orders, i strongly believe!!!!
No way should he be sent to Azkaban, though... no way!

*cackles* It cracks me up that some people have so little understanding of things like foreshadowing, character development and narrative structure.

Also, what mistful once said: Albus Dumbledore would never plead for his life; he had too much class.

Despite being a Snape fan and believing that he's on the "right" side, I agree with the verdict.

Did he or did he not kill Dumbledore with Avada Kedavra? He did = guilty.

Now if he'd been found guilty of TREASON or loyalty to Voldemort, I would be a lot more indignant and assured of reader stupidity. But to be honest, Leaky got it right. He is guilty if it, regardless of whether he was following Dumbledore's own orders or not.

Not necessarily. Have you read wolfma's theory about Avada Kedavra? Dumbles may have already been dead when the curse hit him.
