Attention members: Question to answer

Jul 17, 2007 18:43

Should we stop accepting new members after 7/21/07?

And since I don't want this to be spoilery, I'll leave it at that.

I think it should depend on what questions are answered in the book. If things are left...unsorted, it would be a nice debate comm.

I have friends who are planning to read the books but have yet to even read the first one! What if someone doesn't get to the last one until next year?

(Just playing devil's advocate here. :) )

But after Saturday the matter will be settled, even if new fans join the fandom.

I think if we find out that Snape was good all along (which I firmly believe) We could always change the name of the comm to "Ha Ha We were right".

I've always thought WTS could stand for "We Toldya So!" ;)

See now that is just much classier. I vote for WTS!

As I haven't read any of the spoilers and remain blissfully ignorant, I do not feel entirely capable of weighing in on a matter of such import until such time as I have all the information in front of me.

Bearing that in mind, I shall comment on 7/22/07, or thereabouts.

Mh ... good question.
But I think, after the 21.07.2007, we hopefully will be the ones who knew better. Everyone can say afterwards that they knew and so on.
So I think - no, we shouldn't accept new members after that significant date.

I agree, I like the idea that this is an elite group of people who support Snape until the end. Even if someone hasn't read the books, like mentioned above, they will know the over all story. Kind of like people who have never watched Star Wars know that Darth Vater is Luke's father. Its just stuff you know.
