What do you think the Snape family home life was like? Was Tobias a frequent abuser? Did Eileen defend herself with Dark Arts? Did they both have jobs? Were they ever really in love? Please post your thoughts and theories on Snape domestic life

I honestly think Eileen married him to get out of a sticky situation, and by that I mean I think she got pregnant because she either considered herself above Muggle contraceptives or didn't know about them (or couldn't get hold of them). She might have been able to handle him, but I don't think they ever really were in love with each other, no.

i'd like to be romantic and say perhaps at the beginning they were in love... He swept her off her feet & they were happy.
i'm willing to bet she may not have been entirely honest with him about the magic, and it seriously went downhill when Severus showed magical ability as well.
i would also like to hope that there was no abuse, that Tobias and Eileen just argued/yelled at each other, then made up... and all we really saw were the arguments and the apparent neglect.
